Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) Scholarship for high school seniors and college students

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) is excited to announce the opening of its scholarship application period for the 2024/2025 academic year. In collaboration with the IPSA Education Committee, the IPSA Board will award scholarships of up to $4,000 to students pursuing studies in agriculture.

“Investing in the next generation of agriculture professionals is crucial for the continued success and advancement of our industry,” IPSA executive director Cat Frans says. “Through our scholarship program, we aim to support and empower talented individuals as they pursue their educational and professional goals, ensuring a brighter future for all.”

Frans said IPSA accepts applications from high school seniors and current college students majoring in agriculture. The IPSA board of directors encourages all members to share the opportunity with customers, friends, local high school FFA chapters and 4-H Clubs.

“My favorite aspect of the scholarship program is bringing these students into the annual conference and meeting them face to face, introducing them to our members and watching them make connections,” Frans adds. “Oftentimes, we get check-ins from these students months and years later and it’s so amazing to watch them grow.”

Building on the success of the online application process, the IPSA education committee is offering a smooth application experience through SurveyMonkey.

Applicants should note that, in addition to the online application, they must upload their most recent transcripts and two letters of recommendation in PDF format.

The IPSA scholarship program, established by the Myron “Ted” Asplin Family, aims to support the future of agriculture by fostering the education of the next generation of agricultural professionals.

The deadline for scholarship applications is April 30. To apply or get more information, visit the application website at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2024IPSAScholar
