Each chapter may submit one video. The video should be no longer than 3:00 minutes exactly. If your video is longer than 3:00 minutes, it will not be considered for the competition. The title of your video file should include your chapter name.

Technical specifications: please film your video in widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) format. Don't hold your cameraphone upright, or you'll film a vertical video that is sideways! The final file type should be MOV or MPEG-4. Absolutely NO Windows Media Files will be accepted.

Use WeTransfer.com to send your video file to abbie@washingtonffa.org.

Scoring

All videos will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Contains educational or advocacy message for WA agriculture or FFA (think Peterson Farm Bros parody videos)
  • Represents chapter activities or accomplishments in the 2016–2017 year
  • Video is a creative and original concept
  • Overall video quality (including audio) is high

Important note on copyright: DO NOT use copyrighted music or other material in your video, as it will prevent us from posting the video online. Examples of improper use of copyrighted material: creating a “music video” in which chapter members lip sync to a popular country song; or using a pop song as a background track in your video. We strongly encourage you to use purchased or free stock music tracks and video footage which have been made available for commercial use.
