My start to blogging
It’s hard to believe that it is already January and that my journey as a state officer is well over half way done. We have done so many great things from National convention and all of the competitors who represented Washington so well, to putting on BGLT’s and traveling all around the state visiting all the amazing members out there, to countless other experiences that I will remember for the rest of my life. At the same time though, it seems like just yesterday I was sitting in the hot box waiting in anticipation for sessions to progress. It is amazing to think how much things have changed in a year. Last January I would have never imagined that I would be approaching another convention with more excitement than I ever have in the past. I know all of you are preparing for all of your local and district events at a feverish pace and I encourage all of you to savor the moment. Before you know it you will be graduating high school and wishing that you could stand up in front of a crowd and give a speech just one more time. Or just have one more opportunity to judge soil or livestock. Treat every moment like it’s your last and enjoy life for what it is. Don’t get caught up in the intangibles that don’t matter in the long run. Take time to appreciate the good friends around you and your advisors and don’t wish your weeks by. Wow, that was deeper than I intended it to be, but thats all for now. Until next time....
